PECAL-VEGETABLE-FROM JAVA

E CA L- JAVANESE FOOD-INDONESIA


Pecal from Java, Indonesia

Ingredients:
400 g white rice
75 g bean sprouts, boiled and drained
100 g carrots, slice them long
150 g young papaya, drawstring coarsely and boil
50 g boiled cosmos caudatus
50 g boiled spinach
5  Turi flowers, boiled
50 g China parkia speciosa
1 bunch basil leaves, take the leaves only
250 ml hot water
Ingredients for pecal sauce:
100 g groundnuts
2 boiled red chili

3 boiled cayenne chili
5 cm kaempferia galangal
3 pieces Kaffir lime leaves
½ teaspoon fried shrimp paste
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1  teaspoon salt
1 lump tamarind




How to make:

1. Blend the ingredients sauce and pour hot water slowly.
2. Place a plate of rice and add boiled vegetable, pour it with the pecal sauce, sprinkle/put China                       Parkia Speciosa on it.
3.  Serve it with sprinkle of basil leaves and prawn crackers
Benefits:
Pecal is rich in fibers, vitamin A, and potash, consume pecal can be helpful in expediting  digestion process, improve in health of eyes and prevent  heart coroner.
